While surfing web yesterday for some new pattern, I came across this pattern of mother's day bookmark. I liked it so much that I started it right away. The pattern was so nice and the instructions were so easy to follow that I finished it in 2 hours. My daughter was amused and wanted to know for whom I was making this bookmark. Just in the spirit of Mother's day, I said for my mom. Now she got even more excited to tell my mom, her grandma what I am making for her.
This blog is about my hobby, Tatting. I spend almost every free moment tatting something. I am not a designer but I love to tat all the nice pieces designed by other. I hope soon I will be able to design my own patterns too.

Motif # 2 - Drawstring bag
Front side of the bag. |
I made this small bag following the pattern by Sheron Goldin. It was fun making this bag and for the first time I tried my hands at making split chain. So it was a good learning experience too. This bag is good for carrying small change or to gift to a kid.

Motif # 1 - Necklace
I made this necklace, pattern by Totusmel. I like this pattern so much that until now I have made almost 10 of those. This time I used red color thread and shiny glass beads and it turned out really nice. I gifted this to my daughter's friend for her birthday and she liked it a lot. On seeing it my daughter's other friends also want one for themselves too. A very good reason to make more of these.
